Using Lexuno
Lexuno provides legal discovery, legal information, directory listings, booking paths, and software tools for lawyers and law firms in South Africa.
By using Lexuno, you agree to use the platform lawfully, honestly, and only for legitimate legal discovery, information, listing, enquiry, booking, or platform-management purposes.
Legal information
Content on Lexuno is provided for general information and discovery. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Legal outcomes depend on the facts of each matter. You should consult a qualified legal professional before acting on legal information found on the platform.
Lawyer and law firm listings
Lexuno may display lawyer and law firm profiles, directory listings, practice areas, locations, availability signals, and public contact or booking options.
Listings are intended to help users compare possible legal help. Lexuno does not guarantee that a listed lawyer or firm is suitable for a specific matter, available at a specific time, or able to achieve a specific result.
Bookings and enquiries
When you submit a booking request, enquiry, or contact form, Lexuno may route the submitted information to the relevant lawyer, law firm, or platform workflow.
Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance, representation, appointment confirmation, or legal advice. A lawyer or law firm may need to complete conflict checks, intake steps, and engagement terms before acting for you.
User responsibilities
You must provide accurate information, respect the privacy and rights of others, and avoid submitting unlawful, misleading, abusive, confidential third-party, or harmful content.
You must not misuse Lexuno by attempting to interfere with the platform, scrape protected data, impersonate another person, bypass access controls, or use public forms for spam or fraudulent activity.
Accounts and platform access
Some features may require registration, authentication, role-based access, firm membership, or approval by Lexuno or a law firm workspace.
Users with accounts are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity that occurs through their account, unless the activity results from a platform security failure.
Third-party links and services
Lexuno may link to third-party websites, tools, payment services, calendar providers, communication channels, or external resources.
Third-party services are controlled by their own providers. Lexuno is not responsible for their content, policies, availability, or actions.
Intellectual property
The Lexuno brand, platform design, software, content structure, and original platform materials belong to Lexuno or its licensors unless stated otherwise.
You may use public content for personal information and legal discovery, but you may not copy, republish, resell, or exploit platform materials in a way that harms Lexuno or infringes rights.
Changes and availability
Lexuno may update the platform, content, features, policies, directory data, or these Terms of Use from time to time.
We aim to keep Lexuno available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, or continuous availability of every feature.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Lexuno is not liable for losses arising from reliance on general legal information, directory comparisons, third-party conduct, unavailable features, or user-submitted information.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
